Passive electric double bass

The MK Fly-P passive (P) electric double bass was designed specifically for musicians who want an instrument with a compact sound box .

The instrument can be made divisible at no additional cost, an ideal feature for those who travel frequently, even by plane.

It comes with a padded case for transporting the assembled instrument; a hard case is available as an optional extra for transporting the instrument completely disassembled with the instrument divided into 2 parts.

Compact project

The instrument is equipped with a small resonating box that contributes to a natural sound response.

The construction features a maple neck and adjustable action via the neck tilt.

The Fly-P has an overall length of 145cm and a weight of 6kg , offering the right balance between portability, solidity and playing comfort.

Quick and intuitive assembly (divisible version)

The assembly system is simple and intuitive , in a few minutes the instrument is ready to be tuned and played.

1. The tip is removed by inserting the steel wire of the tuning peg
2. The body is placed in the supplied tripod
3. The handle is joined to the body using the special fixing pin

Once these operations are completed, the frames are mounted, the strings are positioned on the bridge and the tuning is carried out.
During this phase it is possible to adjust the action by turning the screw on the back of the instrument, adapting the height of the strings to your needs.

Once you're done, simply follow the reverse procedure to quickly put the instrument back into its hard carrying case.
